REYES RUIZ GARZA

Reyes Ruiz Garza, 80, of Olton, died Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Olton, Texas. Rosary was said Sunday evening, April 7, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Olton. A communion service was held Monday morning, April 8, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, in Olton, with Deacon Natividad Sandoval officiating. Interment followed at Olton Cemetery under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Reyes was born January 1, 1944, in El Realito, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Saturnino and Guadalupe (Ruiz) Garza. On July 4, 1964, Reyes married Maria Solis, in Idaho. A mechanic and farmer over the years, Reyes and Maria moved to Olton in 1985 from Mountain Home, Idaho. He was a very laid-back man.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son; and three brothers.

Reyes is survived by three sons; his daughter and husband; and a brother;15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
